Randomness and Thanks

Hello! Yes, yes I have not posted in a while....like always (That's terrible, a blog is about posting....oops!). Anyway I'm back at my grandparents (I was there about a month and a half ago) and wanted to check in. I'm currently making a few crafts like making square knot bracelets and cooking. Remember to always comment and suggest ideas for what you would like me to post. Thanks for being my readers!

Travel Toiletries Bag Items

Hey! Okay so I know I have not posted in forever but I have been really busy. We are currently redoing our whole house so we are starting to move out for a while. Also I am traveling in a couple days so I am packing for that also. I wanted to share with you guys the things I am packing in my toiletries bags. So right now I have two little toiletry bags. One is slightly bigger than the other the smaller one hold my few big items. The bigger one holds my smaller items but there are many of them. First the smaller bag.

It's A Ten:  I love it. Great for dry hair. I use it almost every morning.

Jumping Juniper (From Lush): I also adore it. Great for oily hair, I know your thinking wait before she said she had a product for dry hair, now oily? But it's because half my hair is super dry and half in really oily. Anyway this is a fabulous shampoo bar.

Nueutrogena naturals: My everyday moisturizer, not my favorite. It makes me sweat on my face.

Colgate Plax Peppermint Mouthwash: I have never used it but I had it in travel size so I packed it...lol.

A little purple nail kit my mom gave me: Great for traveling and really cute!

P.S. That is not actually what mine looks like but it was the closest I could find.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and I will try to post the other toiletries bag ASAP but until then.....

For All You Techies Out There.....

Hello! Today I wanted to post my thoughts about my computer. I wanted to because yesterday I was having a little problem and it got me thinking that maybe you would want to know about this computer, or at least what I think.

My computer is the ASUS x22e. Overall I think it is a nice computer but it is definitely not the best. It is one of those things where there are not huge problems but just a bunch of small things that annoy you. It has to update quite a bit and the updating is not the fastest process. I don't really know what else to say! Don't just listen to me if you are interested in this computer because I am really not very techie at all. Try other websites like the ASUS site which I believe is: http://www.asus.com

Late Nights, Sweet dreams...

Hey this is going to be super fast. It is 10:25 pm, AKA past when I usually go to sleep.  I am sitting here on my bed typing away when I should be getting ready for bed. I wanted to share my nighttime routine today but as you can tell the day part of today is gone so I will be posting tomorrow (I hope). Please please please comment about my posts whenever you want to. This site is fine to comment on because I know some people don't like to comment unless they know a lot about the site so i'm just putting that out there. Also I wanted to do a review of my laptop tomorrow but I don't know if I can get around to that then. I hope you all have wonderful nights! Sleep tight and have sweet dreams!

More Lush

Hey everyone! (Who is everyone??!! Am I writing to myself?!) You know when I posted my first real post and it was about lush? Well I decided that since I did not finish that post then, I would finish it now. (also random-ish thing: There is this awesome website where there are tons of DIY lush products. The website is: mariasself.com or search DIY lush products. :)) So back to where I was....Some of my favorite lush products!

Rose Queen:

Rose queen is a VERY...VERY..VE----you get it, rosy bath bomb. It has tons of petals in it that come out and smells absolutely delightful. I personally really liked this bomb but for some people this might be overwhelming. The scent is strong and don't walk away because of it's size. It is one of the smaller bombs but that's okay because of how much there is inside. I do recommend this product for people who like perfumey scents. Picture of it below.

Okay so now the next thing.

Buche De Noel:

This product is a limited edition christmas time product so you cannot buy it now but I did want to mention it. I do have to say it looks kinda gross and it does not smell particularly good but it really makes your skin super soft. apply it to your face and just rub it on in circular motions like you might apply your moisturizer. Then you don't have to wait at all, you just rinse it all off and then dab your face with a towel. I love this product but it is hard to use it up really fast so I do end up wasting a lot of it. You do have to use it up within about 2-3 months. I use it about 3-4 times a week but most people use it everyday. (Remember, if you return 5 empty pots from lush you get a free product!) Picture below.

Sexy Peel:

Sexy Peel is a soap from lush and it is all about zest. It is a wake me up soap and is very citrus-y. I love this and it is a soap I use for my body in the shower all the time and I could not be happier with it. I recommend this to anyone who loves to start their day fresh and awake (who doesn't??). Picture below.

Last but not least......

Twilight (shower gel):

Again this is also limited edition for Christmas time but is still one of my favorites. It smells like lavender and chamomile even though I usually do not like that scent. It is purple and has a little glitter in it. I know the glitter part sounds bad but it isn't super glittery and you can hardly tell when its on your skin. Just rub it all over so it lathers up then rinse it off. I love this gel!  Picture below.

P.S. Twilight shower gel has a bath bomb called twilight that smells the same. They are like a pair but the bath bomb is not limited edition!

I'm Back!! (I know I have not posted lately)

Hey! Today I just wanted to talk about random things. I am going to talk about a lot of things like beauty, food, etc. so I'm just putting this under musings and recommendations. First I wanted to talk about a website for buying beauty products. In fact the word beauty is in the website name. It's called Beauty.com. The website has everything from body scrubs to face toners. I think it's really useful but the products are definitely on the expensive side, at least for someone like me who does not purchase super expensive makeup. Well, I do like this site and I think you should check it out.

Lately I have been loving these snacks (foods?) and I wanted to tell you about them so you could love them too! The first food are snapea crisps. They are so totally delicious and healthy and I go through them like.....like, uhh....I can't think of an analogy, whatever, I go through them FAST is what I mean. The next snack I'm in love with are the brookside dark chocolate pomegranate thingies. I also got a blueberry one but I have not tried that yet so I don't know if they taste as amazing as the pomegranate ones. The little chocolate seeds are like an explosion of heaven. Chocoholics will definitely love them as I do.

Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate:

I will post more when I can. Don't forget to comment and tell me if you think this was helpful!  :)

Groggy Days

You know those groggy days when you wake up and feel gross and sweaty? And when you take a shower but it does not help? That's me today. Although to top it off for me I have the hiccups. Well I'm hoping as the day goes on I will feel a little better. I hope your day is not as groggy as mine. G2G eat breakfast!

Cool Conditioning

Hey! I just got out of the shower so I wanted to share some conditioning tips. I usually don't leave my conditioner on for too long at all. In fact I am the worst conditioner in the world. I usually just slap a gigentic slob of conditioner on, rub it up and down my hair, and then I rinse it out immediately. But today I decided to go a different route. I just got a medium amount of conditioner, combed it well through my hair and waited about 35-40 seconds before rinsing it out. May you take my wise tips and use them well young students...(not really). Happy conditioning!

My Easy Lemonade

Hey! I know lemonade is just about the easiest recipe in the book but I still wanted to share my award winning lemonade recipe. (Ok fine not really award winning but really good!). I hope you like it!

Ingredients:

Water
Lemon Juice
Sugar
(I did not put the amount of the ingredients up there because it will very so I will explain it in the directions.)

Directions:

(This is for one glass, double or triple it for a jug)

First fill your glass with water about half full. Add 6 small spoonfuls of sugar. Once that is done put in the lemon juice. Fill the lemon juice up to about a third of what's left of the cup. (Don't understand that? I mean that once you put in the water look at the empty part of the glass. Fill up a third of that with lemon juice.) This recipe is for hot summer days spent working out side. Enjoy!

Summer Teal Dress

Summer Teal Dress

So for this look I tried to go very summery. I tried to get all the accessories a similar color but not too similar because sometimes matching things like that do not look good. I loved the Greek style sandals and the bracelet together because they were casual and went together. The dress really stands out from the accessories but not so much as though to wash away the accessories. Some of these items may be a little expensive for your taste but I tried to get items with as low prices as I could find that also are good quality. I hope you either get some of these items or are inspired by these items and I hope I helped!

Chocolate Mug Cake

Hello, today I'm going to share a yummy treat. It is chocolate cake in a mug, one of my favorites. Also chocolate cake in a mug only takes about 5 minuets. Lets get started!

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg (optional)
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 tablespoons chocolate chips (also optional)
1 capful vanilla extract

Directions:
Get the biggest microwaveable mug you have and add the flour, sugar, and cocoa. Mix well. Then add the egg. I personally don't ever add the egg so I reccomend you don't either but you can. Then if you added the egg mix well. Then put in the milk and vegetable oil. Mix and then add chocolate chips and the vanilla extract. Mix well and then cook on high for 3 minuets. The cake might look like it is going to overflow but don't get worried. Enjoy!

Lush Solid Shampoo

Hey! Today I decided to do another lush review. This time I'm going to talk about the solid shampoo. This solid shampoo is called Squeaky Green. It is for oily hair and people with dandruff problems. My hair exactly! It is so great and the very first time I tried it I went into the shower feeling itchy and dandruff-y but when I came out I felt great the next time I felt itchy again was about 2 days later! It it a little bit pricy but good for lush. It is a must buy if that is your hair type. Although there are plenty other solid shampoos for other hair types. Gotta go see you all later! I hope it helps! Goodnight!

Anika

Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes

Hey! Today I wanted to share a recipe with you all. The recipe is Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes. Have fun cooking!

Ingredients:
Two sweet potatos
Butter (to taste)

3-4 tablespoons cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar

Directions:
Put two sweet poatatos in the oven and bake for about an hour, until done. While they are baking mix the cinnamon and sugar. The original recipe says to use 2 tablespoons cinnamon but once I accidently put in 4 and they turned out good so usually I put in 4. When the potatos are out of the oven take the skin off, chop them into quarters, and use the back of a spoon to mash them. The mashing should be easy and fairly quick. They do not have to be perfect. Then take your butter and put in a spoonful. Finally, add several spoonfuls of cinnamon sugar, to taste.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy this recipe and I will be posting more recipes. Also you usually wont use up all the sugar and cinnamon so you can save it for cinnamon toast or something else later. Enjoy! I wanted to say that I got this recipe from my sister (Thank you very much!) and she has this recipe on her blog at msmidnightmakeup.blogspot.com

Mini Lush Review

Hello! For my first real post I decided to write about one of my favorite stores: Lush. Lush is a bath and body store. You know what I mean, Shampoo, soap, lotion, bath bombs...all that type of jazz. So anyway, you can find a lush store in the U.K., Canada, the U.S.A., and pretty much all over the globe   They have an online store at lush.com. The products there tend to be expensive but they are worth it. My favorite things from their store are:

Avobath:
Avobath is a bath bomb. Bath bombs are these fizzy, scented and relaxing things that you put in a bath. You put it in when your tub is full and enjoy a nice scented bath as it fizzes up in the tub. Avobath contains avocado, lemon grass, and olive oil. It is for relaxing days when all you want to do is lie down. It makes your skin super soft and overall is just a great product. I will definitely purchase it again. Price:$6.35

The Comforter: The Comforter is a bubble bar. Bubble bars are very similar to bath bombs only they specialize  in making bubbles. The Comforter is very fruity and makes creamy bubbles. I find that bubble bars don't get used up very fast, especially the Comforter. I love this product and it is one of my regulars. Price: $10.95

I'm sorry but that is all I can write right (write right, haha) now. I hope you come back soon!

First Post

Hey! This is my first post. I am really excited to make this blog. I'm not really sure of all the stuff I'm going to write but I think mostly it is going to be random. Some cooking, beauty things (yes I am a girl), some of my stories. Random. Things like that. I am also going to recommend a lot of things like tips and good websites. For example if you like beauty things I would reccomend Elleandblair.com. Right now the website is down but in a while it will be up again so I am giving you the name of another beauty blog by the same person: Dreaminginblush.com Anoher blog for cooking is Realgirlskitchen.com Well I hope you come back soon! WELCOME.
